On November 15th 2023, Maritime College No.1 welcomed Administrator Le Do Muoi and the delegation of Vietnam Maritime Administration (VINAMARINE) to visited and congratulated MC1’s officers, lecturers, and officials on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. The meeting also had the participant of representatives of departments and divisions under Vinamarine. Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector along with members in the School Council, Board of Directors and representatives of units (departments, faculties and centers).
At the meeting, Mr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector reported briefly on the results of implementing assigned tasks in 2023, especially MC1’s enrollment results in school year 2023-2024: MC1 became one of top schools with the highest enrollment achievements in the northern region (with 803 full-time college students); at the same time, MC1 successfully implemented the following projects such as improving MC1’s training capacity of Ship Navigation and Logistics from Socio-economic recovery and development program; repairing infrastructure in campus 1; repairing training ship - MC1 STAR to serve the education and training of seafarers.
After MC1’s report, Administrator Le Do Muoi praised the efforts and achievements of the school in recent times. Although in the context of the global economic recession, the domestic and foreign shipping industry has been facing many difficulties, school’s enrollment still meets and even exceeds targets; education and training activities remain stable. The Administrator requested that Maritime College No.1 further strengthen its role and responsibilities, be always the leading flag among schools under Vinamarine; be active to train high-quality human resources to meet requirements in the period of regional and international integration.
In the schedule to implement autonomy and participate in international cooperation and Science Technology activities, the Administrator requested that MC1 needs to be proactive in proposing which helps Vinamarine have plans to support and resolve promptly.
