NTN Trading Development Joint Stock Company along with Shipowners and Shipmanagers in South Korea met and exchanged with MC1’s students. (09/11/2023)


On November 7th 2023, Maritime College No.1 was honor to welcome the delegation of NTN Trading Development Joint Stock Company along with Shipowners and Shipmanagers in South Korea to visit, meet and exchange with MC1’s students from Faculty of Ship Navigation and Faculty of Marine Engineering Operation.

The exchange meeting aimed at introducing the fleet, policies, management and operation processes, etc. on board and providing career guidance and creating jobs for MC1’s students after graduation, aiming to develop into a team of quality operation and management officers to long-term work for Korean shipowners.

Attending the meeting, from NTN Trading Development Joint Stock Company, there were Mr. Bui Duc Duy - Director, Ms. Trinh Thi Huong - Deputy Director, Mr. Vu Duc Hao - Head of Crew Department. On the side of Shipowners and Shipmanagers in South Korea, there was Mr. Kim Jong Sun - Representative of Khana Marine Ltd, Mr. Jang Yong Suk - Director, Crew Manning Korea.

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Luong Quang Trung - Vice Rector along with the leaders of International Cooperation & Science Technology Department, Faculty of Ship Navigation and Faculty of Marine Engineering Operation.

On behalf of the school’s leadership, Mr. Luong Quang Trung - Vice Rector sent a warm welcome and thanked the delegation for visiting and working at Maritime College No.1. He also introduced MC1’s training capacity; facilities system; international cooperation activities; more importantly, its position and role in training high-quality seafarers in Vietnam.

Mr. Kim Jong Sun – representative of Khana Marine Ltd thanked for the respectful welcome, and he also introduced their fleet, the crew recruitment mechanism, as well as seafarers’ income, etc. He hoped that through the exchange meeting with MC1’s students, they will provide career guidance and create jobs for MC1’s students after graduation, aiming to develop into a team of quality officers to long-term work for Korean shipowners.

After meeting with MC1’s leadership, the delegation had an exchange meeting with students from Faculty of Ship Navigation and Faculty of Marine Engineering Operation. At the exchange meeting, the delegation and students discussed and shared about the fleet, policies, management and operation procedures, and conditions to work on the Korean fleet.

The exchange meeting between NTN Trading Development Joint Stock Company along with Shipowners and Shipmanagers in South Korea and Maritime College No.1 took place successfully. The two sides hope that this meeting will create a premise to promote sustainable, long-term cooperation in providing high-quality seafarers for Korean shipowners.

After the exchange meeting, the delegation visited the school’s facilities at campus 1. They highly appreciated the facilities for seafarers’ training and education at school.
