MOU Signing Ceremony between Maritime College No. 1 and Aus4Skills (27/02/2023)


Maritime College No. 1 (MC1) and Strategix Training Group (authorized unit by Aus4Skills to organize CBTA 2022) solemnly held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the afternoon of February 20, 2023. The signing ceremony is considered as an important event in the pilot training project of the Despatch stock module according to the Competency-based Training and Assessment (CBTA), and also marks the development of Logistics vocational training at Maritime College No. 1.

Attending the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony were Ms. Lou De Castro Myles, Course Designer/Team Leader, and Advisor on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (Australia); Mr. Wayne Striplin, Vocational Education Specialist/Trainer (Australia), and Director of International Cooperation of Strategix Training Group; Mr. Duong Quoc Viet, Vocational Education Training Officer; Ms. Bach Ly Bao Tran, Course Manager.

The representatives of the enterprise were Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Anh - Director and Mr. Luong Minh Hoang - Head of Trade Department of Green Port Services One Member Limited Liability Company (GREENPORT).

The representative of Maritime College No. 1 were Dr. Luu Viet Hung – Rector; MSc  Do Hong Hai – Vice Rector; MSc  Nguyen Van Nam - Head of International Cooperation - Science and Technology Department; MSc Vu Quoc Tuan - Deputy Head of the Training Department; MSc Trinh Ngoc Thu Ha - Dean of Faculty of Economics; MSc Dong Phong Huyen - Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics, chaired the pilot training project including: MSc. Le Thi Binh Nguyen - Head - Faculty of Economics; Ths. Tran Thi Hai Thanh - Lecturer at Faculty of Economics; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ngan - Lokaport Port Services and Logistics Joint Stock Company and lecturers from Faculty of Economics.

The cooperation agreement between Strategix Training Group and Maritime College No. 1 aims to support the school with facilities for pilot training of the "Despatch stock" module according to the training strategy and Competency-based Training and Assessment (CBTA) in the logistics industry according to APEC standards.

At the ceremony, Dr. Luu Viet Hung - Rector of the School briefly reported on the results of the pilot training of the "Receiving and storing goods" module under CBTA 2020, the quality of Logistics graduates of the school is highly appreciated by businesses and top priority in recruitment. At the same time, Dr. Luu Viet Hung would like to thank Aus4Skills for trusting and choosing the school to continue participating in the pilot training of the "Despatch stock" module this time, this is an activity that has contributed to many positive results. The school's strategic plan helps the logistics training of Maritime College No. 1 to integrate with the international community. This is one of the important reasons leading to the connection and cooperation between the two sides. Thereby, Dr. Luu Viet Hung committed that the school will support all human resources and the best facilities for the pilot training project of the "Despatch stock" module according to the training strategy and Competency-based Training and Assessment (CBTA) in the logistics industry according to APEC standards at Maritime College I was a great success.

Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Anh - Director of Green Port Services One Member Limited Liability Company (GREENPORT), is a member unit of Vietnam Container Joint Stock Company with more than 30 years of tradition in the field of ports, transportation and logistics. Logistics, representatives of businesses that have a training association with the school are committed to supporting resources and facilities to help lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics deploy the pilot training module "Despatch stock".
