Maritime College No. I participated in an online conference on organizing key training for 22 occupations transferred from Germany in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic. (October 20th, 2021) (19/10/2021)


Following the direction of the General Directorate of Vocational Education on organizing an online meeting on the organization of training for 22 key occupations transferred from Germany at schools in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, October 20th, 2021 Maritime College No. I participated in an online conference to assess the difficulties and problems in organizing training courses for 22 occupations transferred from Germany, in which the school trained 02 occupations: Ship navigation and Marine engineering operation.

Attending the conference were Dr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh - Deputy Director of General Directorate of Vocational Education; Dr. Vu Xuan Hung - Director of Formal Training Department, General Directorate of Vocational Education; representatives of colleges participating in training 22 occupations transferred from Germany. On behalf of Maritime College No. I, Dr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee - Rector of the school was present along with the representatives of officials and lecturers participating in the training of ship control and ship engine operation. 

Speech at the opening of the Conference, Dr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh sent greetings to all participants of the Conference and highly appreciated the efforts of the schools that have been organizing training courses for 22 occupations transferred from Germany in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic.  

Dr. Vu Xuan Hung briefly reported on the general reality of training occupations transferred from Germany, informed the postponement of the mid-term graduation exam to April 2022, and wished to hear from the schools that met difficulties in the organization training 22 occupations transferred from Germany in the context of the recent Covid-19 epidemic.

Representatives of the colleges facing the most difficulties reported to the General Department of Vocational Education about their units' problems, mainly the delay in disbursement of funds, high price of materials, difficulties in teaching and learning and mobilization of funds to purchase materials as well as the organization for students to have field trips at enterprises.

Speaking at the end of the Conference, Dr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh openly assessed and commented on the difficulties and problems in the current training organization at the schools; require schools to make every effort to ensure the good implementation of the following issues: “3 on the spot”; mobilize local funds for procurement of materials; increase training time to keep up with schedule; If any unit has difficulty in summoning students from outside the province, it should make a statistical list of the number of students who need intervention and send it to the General Department of Vocational Education and Training for synthesis, and send a written request to localities to support students  return to school. Dr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh encouraged schools to try to overcome difficulties and implement successfully the task of training 22  key occupations in this German transfer project.
