Maritime College No.1 organized a gift giving program to support disadvantaged students and help students living far from school to return home to celebrate Lunar New Year 2024. (06/02/2024)


To support disadvantaged students and take students living far from home returning home to celebrate Lunar New Year 2024 with their families, on January 31, 2024, Maritime College No.1 organized a gift giving program to give financial support for students in difficult circumstances and students living far from home returning home to celebrate Tet.

Attending the program were Mr. Do Hong Hai - Vice Rector; Ms. Lai Thu Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, along with representatives of departments and faculties; homeroom teachers, and representatives of students.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Do Hong Hai - Vice Rector said that these are small gifts but they contain noble and humane values from the school towards students in difficult circumstances. MC1 hopes that these gifts will be practical support for students living far from home to return home and have a warm Tet holiday with their families.

This is the 9th time that MC1 has implemented support activities for students in difficult circumstances and students living far from school to celebrate the Lunar New Year. In this year, there are 191 students receiving support funds with a total amount of over 46 million VND.

The program is a meaningful activity that demonstrates the care and sharing to students in difficult circumstances and contributes to educating students’ spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and sharing with friends and society.
