Maritime College No. 1 met the students who will participate in the Global Onboard training Programme for maritime students in Korea (11/05/2023)


Implementing Official Dispatch No. 333/CHHVN-HTQT-IMO dated February 3, 2022 of the Vietnam Maritime Administration on appointing students to participate in the Global Onboard Training Program for maritime students in Korea in 20223according to the Invitation Letter of Korean Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT).

The Maritime College No.1 has selected among the 2nd and 3rd year students in the maritime occupations; as a result, 03 students including Pham Van Tan - class 49 of Ship Navigation and students Nguyen Ba Hoang, Tran Nguyen Vu of Marine Engineering Operation at the college level have been selected to attend the training course.

The training course on ships for maritime students consists of 2 modules: Basic safety training as required by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW); practical training on a training ship (Training Ship HANWOORI) of the Korean Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT), the duration of the training course from May 5th, 2023 to July 26th, 2023. Round-trip airfare, hotel fee, fee for transportation in Japan and expenses related to training are covered by the Korean Government and Maritime College No. 1 will cover Insurance, Visa, passport, fee for transportation in Vietnam and other related expenses.

To encourage the students before going to Korea to attend the Training Course, on April 27th, 2023, the School Board of Rectors, the International Cooperation - Science and Technology Department, the Faculty of Ship navigation and Faculty of Marine Engineering Operation held a meeting and encouraged the students.

At the meeting, Dr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector and Mr. Luong Quang Trung - Vice Rector congratulated the students selected to participate in the training course; suggest students to strive to study, train and research to complete the training course on time; follow strictly the State's regulations on the management of students and are under the management of Vietnam's diplomatic agencies in the host country.

On behalf of the students participating in the training course, engineering student Tran Nguyen Vu, thanked the Rector board and related departments and faculties for their attention and creating the best conditions for them to complete necessary procedures to participate in the training course, he promised to try to study and practice well and always preserve the tradition and reputation of students of Maritime College No. 1.

Đây là năm thứ 3 liên tiếp, sinh viên trường Cao đẳng Hàng hải I vinh dự được mời tham dự Khóa đào tạo trên tàu biển dành cho sinh viên hàng hải do Viện Công nghệ hàng hải và Thủy sản Hàn Quốc (KIMFT) tổ chức. Tham gia Khóa đào tạo là cơ hội tốt để các sinh viên nâng cao kiến thức, kỹ năng nghề nghiệp và nâng cao ý thức học hỏi, đồng thời cũng là khởi sắc cho hoạt động hợp tác liên kết đào tạo quốc tế của nhà trường trong những năm tiếp theo.

This is the 3rd year students of Maritime College No. 1 are honored to be invited to attend the Ship Training Course for Maritime Students organized by the Korea Institute of Marine and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT). Participating in the training course is a good opportunity for students to improve their knowledge and professional skills and improve their sense of learning, as well as a flourishing international cooperation and training activities of the school in the following years.
