Towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023), on June 9, 2023, MC1 planned to prepare for an exchange to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan friendship. Attending the implementation of the plan were Mr. Yukata Yoshida - Chairman, CEO of Shirai Shipping Co., Ltd; Dr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the MC1 and teachers in the Board of Rectors and related departments.

At the meeting, Mr. Yukata Yoshida reported to the Rector board about the cooperation agreement between Vietnam Maritime Administration and Shirai Japan Company since 2017 on exchange and cooperation in training maritime human resources, as well as cooperation between the Company and the School in recent times. Shirai Shipping Co., Ltd. in general, Mr. Yukata Yoshida - President, CEO of the company in particular, will be the focal point for connecting exchanges and cooperation between MC1 and Japanese agencies, businesses to organize an exchange successfully the 50th anniversary celebration of Vietnam-Japan friendship at MC 1.

At the end of the working session, the two parties agreed to coordinate with relevant agencies of Vietnam and Japan to organize successfully exchange to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan friendship at the MC1 according to the deployed plan.
