Implementing the training plan of the school year 2023-2024, on the morning of November 17th, 2023, Maritime College No.1 held the school opening ceremony of the new school year 2023-2024 and celebrated the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th, 1982 - November 20th, 2023).
Overview of the ceremony
Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of training partners; representatives of units in the maritime industry; businesses that have been recruiting post-graduation students; parents and all MC1’s officers, lecturers, officials and students.
Dr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector delivered the opening speech and launched the emulation movement in the new school year 2023-2024
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Luu Viet Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector summarized notable achievements in the school year 2022-2023 in enrollment , education and training such as: developing key vocational training programs in accordance with “Competency-based approach” transferred from developed countries in the region and the world; cooperating and connecting with domestic and foreign businesses and organizations (such as Australia, Japan and Korea...); recognizing the achievements of units and individuals awarded by Vietnam Maritime Administration. Specifically, 01 Logistics Training Center in North and 01 Crew Training Center which meet international standard, will be completed in Campus 2, Dong Hoa Ward, Kien An by the end of 2023. On the occasion of the ceremony, the Rector launched the emulation movement in the new school year 2023-2024 and congratulated all teachers on the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

The school opening day is also November 20th - the Vietnamese traditional day of people who work in education. This is also an opportunity for all generations of students to express their special gratitude to all teachers who nurture the country’s future. In a solemn and warm atmosphere, on behalf of all MC1’s students, Do Song Duy – a student in Faculty of Ship Navigation delivered their sincere and deepest gratitude to all teachers and promise to be determined to complete their learning tasks in the new school year.

The school opening ceremony of the new school year 2023-2024 and the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day ended in an exciting, joyful atmosphere with brilliantly-colored flowers which bring MC1’s teachers and students a lot of happy, motivation and encouragement to successfully complete its tasks during the new school year.
