Maritime College No. 1 evaluated the Forklift Operation module according to the method of building strategies and training based on Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA 2023) Aus4skills Program (28/03/2024)


On March 20, 2024, Maritime College No.1 organized the final evaluation of the pilot training course of the module "Forklift operation", this is an activity in the short-term course Training and Competency-Based Training and Assessment in Logistics in Vietnam (CBTA) is funded by the Australian government through the Aus4Skills program.

The evaluation session was organized with the participation of businesses and the Northern Regional Logistics Advisory Council, under the supervision of Aus4Skills Program experts. Attending the evaluation session were:

Representative of Hai Phong Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Ms. Pham Thi Huyen - Deputy Director of Hai Phong Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngan - Head of Vocational Education Department.

The Aus4Skills program includes Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hien - Senior Communications and Policy Officer of the Vocational Education Project; Ms. Lou De Castro Myles - Head of CBTA Teaching Department; Mr. Wayne Striplin - Australian Lecturer - International Program Director of Strategix International College; Mr. Duong Quoc Viet - Vietnamese lecturer at Strategix International College; Ms. Bach Ly Bao Tran - Coordinator.

Enterprises participating in the assessment include: Mr. Nguyen Huy Truong Giang - Director of Minh Giang Import-Export International Company Limited; Mr. Quach Minh Dung - Deputy General Director - Lien Viet Logistics Joint Stock Company; Mr. Vu Duc Thuan - Head of Equipment Department - Green Port Services One Member   Limited Liability Company.

Participating businesses include: Golden Link Joint Stock Company, Tan Cang - 189 Hai Phong JSC, Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company, Dinh Vu Port Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Hai Phong Port services Joint Stock Company, ...

Representative of the Logistics Advisory Council in the Northern region is Ms. Vu Thi Hai Van - Chairwoman

Representatives of the School were Dr. Luu Viet Hung – Rector of the School; MSc. Do Hong Hai - Vice Rector of the School; Heads, Deputy Heads of Faculties, Departments and lecturers of the School participated in the pilot training.

The evaluation session was conducted at the School's Logistics training center. 15/15 students participating in the evaluation were evaluated by the business as satisfactory and ready for recruitment. Representative of the jury and businesses, Mr. Nguyen Huy Truong Giang - Director of Minh Giang Import-Export International Co., Ltd. highly appreciated this training model.

In his closing speech, Dr. Luu Viet Hung, Rector of the School, pledged to exploit all the school's resources to organize more training courses on “Forklift Operation” in particular and Logistics services in general, transferring value received from the Project to many beneficiaries in society.
