I. INTRODUCTION

Function and Duties

1. Function

Advise, assist the Rector on the management and implementation of the training process; develop training occupations; update and supplement curriculum; conduct scientific research; compose training textbooks, train teachers; manage students.

2. Duties

a) Manage officers, staff, teachers and students of the faculty assigned by the rector:

- Manage and assign officers, staff and teachers to teach, participate in training activities and other activities of the school;

- Propose the teachers of the faculty  to be class teachers; coordinate with relevant faculties  to supervise the work of class teachers;

- Evaluate officers, staff and teachers in the faculty and participate in the evaluation of school officers according to the regulations, including:

+ Inspecting and evaluating the performance of teachers' duties of the faculty;

+ Attending teachers’ lecturers, evaluating the teaching quality of teachers;

+ Proposing to reward and discipline officers, staff and teachers of the faculty;

+ Participating in the evaluation of school officers according to the regulations of the school;

- Plan and organize the implementation of political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education for officers, staff, teachers and students;

- Manage the students of the faculty;

- Contact companies for students’ internships; guide and manage the students during the internship.

b) Implement teaching and learning plans and other extracurricular activities according to the school's annual curriculum and teaching plan, including:

- Plan  and implement curriculum:

+ Make teaching plans for the teachers;

+ Supervising and checking the implementation of the teaching plan of the teachers;

+ Organizing professional activities.

- Develop and implement testing, examination and assessment methods to assess students' learning outcomes ensure the output standards of students as committed, meet the needs of the labor market; including:

+ Composing exam questions, tests and answer keys;

+ Organizing exams, checking and assessing students' learning outcomes according to the plan;

+ Organizing re-study and re-examination according to the plan;

+ Assessing and testing the students' internship results.

c) Develop and manage curriculum:

- Compose curriculum of each occupation according to each training level of the faculty;

- Compile detailed outlines of related subjects, modules, and credits to ensure consistency and avoid overlap between subjects, modules, and credits of the curriculum or. training levels;

- Develop curriculum, design projects, compose training materials and textbooks according to the development orientation of the school;

- Update, supplement  and edit  curriculum, curricula, teaching materials at elementary level, intermediate level and associate level and regular training programs as prescribed;

- Research and innovate teaching and learning methods to improve training quality.

d) Plan  and organize the implementation of science and technology activities; cooperate with scientific and technological organizations, business organizations and services related to training professions and collaborate with enterprises during the training process:

- Plan and implement scientific research projects, transfer  technology, make models of learning tools for teaching and training linking with scientific research, production, business and social life;

- Carry out experimental activities, scientific research, apply techniques and technologies to the training process;

- Cooperate with science and technology, production, business and service organizations related to training professions and collaborate with enterprises during the training process.

e) Plan to develop the teaching staff; Make training and  further training plans to improve professional qualifications for teachers:

- Make further training plans for officers, staff and teachers in order to improve their professional qualifications, foreign languages, and informatics; organize field trips for officers, staff and teachers to visit and study at companies.

- Guide and evaluate trainee teachers.

f) Manage and use training facilities and equipment effectively as prescribed by the rector:

- Effectively manage and use training facilities and equipment of the faculty;

- Make annual maintenance and repair plans for facilities and training equipment of the Faculty;

- Periodically inspect the operation, use and preservation of training facilities and equipment;

- Propose and develop plans for liquidation and addition of facilities and training equipment for teaching and learning.

g) Archival work

- Report training activities and managing student's learning outcomes according to the regulations;

- Cooperate with other faculties to guide teachers in the use and implementation of forms and notebooks; introduce the rules and regulations on teaching;

- Perform archival work, statistics, preservation and storage of documents and records according to the regulations.

h) Comply with the reporting regime prescribed.

i) Perform other duties assigned by the Rector.
