- School of Maritime Technical Workers was established on May 4th 1972
- It was renamed Maritime Technical and Training School No.1 on April 27th 1990
- It was upgraded to Maritime Secondary School No.1 on December 2nd 1996
- It was upgraded to Maritime College No.1 on February 01st 2007
