I. INTRODUCTION

Function and Duties

1. Function

- Assist the Rector in managing and organizing the implementation of political, ideological, ethical, lifestyle education, law dissemination and social activities for students; implement  regimes and policies for students; manage, operate and use dormitory; implement the enrollment plan approved by the Rector; connect enterprises in education and career counseling activities for students; Counsel, support and advise careers for students.

 

2. Duties 

- Manage  officers and staff in the process of performing the   duties of the department assigned by the Rector;

- Effectively manage and use the facilities and equipment of the department

- Coordinate with other faculties and departments in welcoming new students;

- Propose the appointment of class teacher; appoint class monitoring board (class monitor, vice-monitor) at the beginning of the course. Issue a decision to appoint a class monitoring board for a definite period; 

- Take photos and make student cards, and boarding cards;

- Organize the reception of students entering the dormitory; manage and supervise students to obey the rules of the dormitory; manage facilities and safety and security in the dormitory;

- Organize measuring, sewing uniforms and health checks for students at the beginning of the course;

- Ensure food hygiene and safety at the canteen;

- Make statistics, collect, manage records, make a list of candidates who apply for admission to the  training occupations;

- Develop and review the rules and regulations and procedures relating to student affairs;

- Handle administrative duties concerned to students;

- Be mainly responsible for welcoming agencies and individuals to work on issues relating to students;

- Periodically report management and education of students;

- Assess students  every semester, school year and course;

- Be responsible for recommending students’ reward or discipline;

- Make plans, implement the "Citizens Week at the beginning of the course" according to the regulations;

- Coordinate with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and other socio-political organizations to organize for students to participate in cultural, artistic and extra-curricular activities;

- Organize dialogue sessions between the Rector and students, at least once a year;

- Organize career counseling and job introduction for students;

- Participate in reviewing class promotion, scholarships, graduation exams and graduation for students;

- Coordinate with families and localities where students live in student training management. Plan to recognize students to comply with the regulations in the locality where they live to ensure political security, social order and safety; timely settle cases relating to students;

- Organize collecting students' opinions on training program and evaluate the  management, teaching and service at the school;

- Coordinate with the Education Department, Human Resource  Development and Labor Export Center and faculties in opening short-term training courses for enterprises;

- Be mainly responsible for contacting with enterprises, industrial zones...to sign agreements on cooperation in training at the school according to needs;

- Perform other duties assigned by the Rector.
